Continuing the work of St. Maximilian Kolbe
Kolbe Publications offers books, flyers, magazines according to the spirituality of Saint Maximilian Kolbe.
Saint Maximilian Kolbe founded the movement Militia Immaculatae (Knights of the Immaculata) on October 16, 1917. In 1922 he published the first issue of a publication with the title, Knight of the Immaculata. The expenses were covered by funds that had been collected by begging. From 1922 to 1927 he was stationed with his little printing press in the convent in Grodno. Because of the throngs of vocations and the expansion of his press apostolate, he left Grodno and in 1927 founded Niepokalanów, the "City of the Immaculata".
Militia Immaculatae reminds the Militant Church, the true Catholic Church on earth of its permanent fight against the devil, sin and error. Since 50 years these essential catholic themes had been removed from the minds of the faithful who are taught to strive for universal peace and mutual respect of all religions. What is worse: since that time the everlasting and most important realities about heaven, hell, purgatory, death, judgement, fight against the devil and conversion from error to the only catholic truth … had been widely abandoned and replaced by the desire of unifying the world in mutual understanding and peace. The masonic new world order has become the ideal of many Catholics.
Against this modernist plague the MI appears as a remedy against the pacifism of our times and becomes a strong reminder of the only true perspective: we are on earth to fight for the salvation of souls. It emphasizes the everlasting values and the right use of our short time on earth. It is in its definition an anti-ecumenical calling of the conversion of all dissidents, false religions to the only true Church.
This idea of the spiritual fight so needed in our times provokes the enthusiasm of generous souls, especially the youth, to give themselves up for a great and fascinating ideal.
We continue the work of St. Maximilian. We desire that as many people as possible come to know and love the Immaculate.
